IKEEP Programme

I led theUI/UX design for SetSquared’s IKEEP web app, digitally bridging the gap between university talent and industry challenges. The platform enables organisations to source innovative solutions while providing students with real-world “intrepreneurial” experience and career opportunities.

Student Journey

I designed a linear registration experience for the student users. By opting for a layout without a sidebar navigation and breaking down the fields into several steps, students encounter only one required action at a time, reducing both decision paralysis and drop-off rates. This guided linear approach ensures most students complete the full registration without outside assistance, another goal SetSquare wanted to achieve in order to utilise their available resources in other areas of management.

Student Registration Flow: Students are faced with less required information per page, and are assisted by contextual help on fields that require specific types of information in order to reduce questions from both the student and administrator reviewing their profile.

Student Progress Dashboard: The pared back design allows students to focus on one task at a time.

Organisation Journey

The interface for organisations follows a two-phase approach. I again chose to design a focused, linear registration and project proposal submission flows without a sidebar to minimise distractions– mirroring the student experience to maintain design consistency.

Once registered, organisations transition to a dashboard-based experience with a sidebar navigation system. The dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of their organisation including comprehensive project proposal status tracking. The sidebar navigation allows easy access to all facets that organisations must manage within the IKEEP Programme.

Organisation Dashboard: Organisations have an overview of their projects and immediate items requiring attention.

Organisation Project Creation Flow: Organisations are able to easily create project briefs and are assisted by contextual help throughout the form.

Organisation Modal: In the following image, an organisational user can make a well-informed decision before following through on a significant change to their account with descriptive text explanations.

Administration Journey

The default view for admins immediately displays an actionable inbox-style interface with tabbed sections for managing students, organisations, and projects– each displaying notification counters for items requiring attention. This approach prioritises efficiency by surfacing pending approvals and outstanding tasks at a first glance. The dashboard’s information architecture enables administrators to quickly navigate between different parts of the IKEEP ecosystem and streamlining the admins’ ability to manage the connection between students, organisations and projects effectively.
